Intentions:
To make something.
Something that will create meaning to me and my family.

I am the daughter of Pat and John Large. My father was a commercial fisherman (lobster and tuna) he died in a boating accident in June of 1976. I am looking for people who knew him at any time during the course of his life. This summer is for traveling and gathering.

This project started as a little tiny idea in December of '02.

A long lost friend of mine came to visit at the same time my therapist and I were talking about the story of my dad. Both inspired and encouraged me to follow through with telling the story, one through images and one, just out of curiousity.

I had to admit, I was curious too. Who was this guy that I have been mourning for 28 years. It's a wierd thing to mourn a stranger. Then to speak to people who you don't know but who know you, and remember another lifetime that affected yours so deeply.

I have been wanting to take some time off and explore something, to get my brain going. The lovliness of Los Angeles has made my brain a little mooshy.
